TEMPESST PRISONER OF DESIRE

Tempesst are back with their first music in two years. The East London five-piece have dropped ‘Prisoner Of Desire’ alongside an incredible film noir visualiser. The track is bold and cinematic in sound, with the countrified twang of slide guitar creating a nostalgic sound beneath deep, powerful vocals. On the track’s meaning, singer Tom Banjanin explains: “The character is facing an internal struggle. There are these two opposing forces - the need for connection and love, and the need for individual freedom. One can’t be traded for the other - they’re both equally important.” This is the band’s first release since their album, Must Be A Dream, and makes us very excited for whatever comes back. -Dan Peeke
